WP5 – Seat evaluation guidelines
Seat evaluation guidelines will be formulated and included in a numerical illustrator with variable parameters. We will also develop a software illustrator, which allows simple interactive demonstration of whiplash injury mechanisms.
The software illustrator will demonstrate the influence different seat parameters and gender have on whiplash injuries and it will also give the vehicle occupant tips and hints for a safer driving experience. In addition, recommendations on how to improve the assessment of seat designs in order to enhance safety will be specified.

The work in the final technical work package, seat evaluation, is being planned and will start during 2011.
