Basis of comparison
All results are compared in reference to one configuration represented by the setup "Male – Euro NCAP Testing position - Middle", which adheres to the requirements of the Euro NCAP Whiplash tests. Resulting loads from this configuration are considered to be "standard" loads. Different seat setting descriptions such as high, low or equal, always refer to the above setting and will inform the user of the rating the seat would receive, i.e. more or less favourable in general.
Seat settings
This seat configuration shows the seat back in the forward position (10° tilted forward in relation to Euro NCAP guidelines). The head restraint is positioned in the lowest of the variable positions.

Conclusion
This seat configuration shows the lowest overall loads on a male occupant. In this particular seat configuration, the lowest head restraint position is still high enough to provide head support for a large male occupant, although the distance between the head and head restraint has been reduced due to the geometry of this seat. Please note that the same protection may not be achieved in all seats when the head restraint is set at the lowest position.
