Basis of comparison
All results are compared in reference to one configuration represented by the setup "Male – Euro NCAP Testing position - Middle", which adheres to the requirements of the Euro NCAP Whiplash tests. Resulting loads from this configuration are considered to be "standard" loads. Different seat setting descriptions such as high, low or equal, always refer to the above setting and will inform the user of the rating the seat would receive, i.e. more or less favourable in general.
This seat configuration shows the seat back in a forward position (10° tilted forward in relation to Euro NCAP testing position). The head restraint is positioned in the centre of the variable positions.

This seat configuration has lower loads in almost all parameters, e.g., NIC, Nkm, forces, moments, etc., and is therefore rated as more favourable than the "standard" setting.
* Differences in results between real tests and simulations occur due to different seat models being tested.
