Basis of comparison
All results are compared in reference to one configuration represented by the setup "Male – Euro NCAP Testing position - Middle", which adheres to the requirements of the Euro NCAP Whiplash tests. Resulting loads from this configuration are considered to be "standard" loads. Different seat setting descriptions such as high, low or equal, always refer to the above setting and will inform the user of the rating the seat would receive, i.e. more or less favourable in general.
Seat settings
This seat configuration shows the seat back in the middle position (the same as used in Euro NCAP tests). The head restraint is positioned in the highest of the variable positions.

Conclusion
In this scenario forces, moments, as well as accelerations have been increased in relation to the "standard" male seat setting which leads to the highest load occupants´ necks were exposed to in this study.
