Basis of comparison

All results are compared in reference to one configuration represented by the setup "Male – Euro NCAP Testing position - Middle", which adheres to the requirements of the Euro NCAP Whiplash tests. Resulting loads from this configuration are considered to be "standard" loads. Different seat setting descriptions such as high, low or equal, always refer to the above setting and will inform the user of the rating the seat would receive, i.e. more or less favourable in general.

Seat settings

This seat configuration shows the seat back set in the Euro NCAP testing position.  The head restraint is positioned in the middle of the variable position.

Conclusion

This seat configuration shows the "standard" seat setting, the posture used in Euro NCAP whiplash tests) which can be selected for most modern car seats today.

* Differences between real tests and simulations occur due to different seat models being tested.
